Article – Utopias Unveiled

This was written for the Australian String Quartet. It is an exploration of the music from their Utopias program and addresses music by Thomas Adés, Mozart and Shostakovich. I provide listening notes for the audience, and delve into how the idea of a ‘utopia’ winds its way through the program. ASQ tours Utopias across Australia in May 2023.
